Bhavani Srinivas engages poetic double meanings and contradictory symbolisms to construct installations that shift between the registers of personal narrative, pop culture, spirituality, and history. Bhavani holds a BA in Art Practice from Princeton University. They are a worker-owner of March April Studio, a community art and writing studio in Los Angeles, and they co-run Corners cutoff, a small press publishing multi-lingual projects. Mark T. Duffy is a transdisciplinary artist living in Oakland, Ca. His work in painting expresses an interest in understanding how power and authority affect society. He examines ambivalences around race, class, gender and power structures through research in critical post-humanities, involving affirmative ethics and critique of humanism and anthropocentrism.
