Kenyatta A.C. Hinkle, Sahar Khoury and Marlon Mullen received the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s biannual SECA Art Award. This award honors artists that have yet to “accorded substantial recognition from a major institution” and each artist will have their work exhibited in SFMOMA in November.
Two thirds of the awardees have ties with UC Berkeley. Sahar Khoury graduated from UC Berkeley with an M.F.A in 2013. Kenyatta A.C. Hinkle is the Assistant Professor of Painting at UC Berkeley.
