On Monday, December 1, join us on Zoom for a live conversation with Maureen Fan, CEO and co-founder of Baobab Studios, the award-winning interactive animation studio behind hit transmedia experiences across games, Hollywood, and graphic novels including Crow, Magic Paintbrush and Momoguro. They create experiences across platforms such as Roblox, Netflix, Fortnite, YouTube, Webtoons, Scholastic, Penguin, and Macmillan. Maureen will talk about her career path across film, games, and immersive media, and how Baobab uses GenZ disruption of traditional industries and technology shifts to their advantage, no matter what the medium. She shares how her studio strives to "Inspire the world to dream. Bring out your sense of wonder. Make YOU matter." There will be time for Q&A, so bring your questions about careers, collaboration, and creating impactful work at the intersection of art and games.

Hosted by BCNM Executive Commmittee Member Greg Niemeyer for his Art 178: Computer Graphics Studio course.
