Forgiving the Forgotten
The Worth Ryder Gallery is ecstatic to present a brand new exhibit on behalf of nine Honors students from the Art Practice Department. Forgiving the Forgotten is a multimedia and multisensory experience of self examination through memory and the sometimes forgotten past. This exhibition revisits the past and imagined futures by observing and experimenting with the many layers that make up selfhood in attempts to understand the ever developing self. Through an array of mediums, this exhibition underscores the relationship between the self and memory, and how these interactions manifest themselves in time and space. Forgiving the Forgotten is a must-see experience that offers a contemplative space on the unseen violence, forgotten loved ones and forgotten spaces that occupy the memory, which affect the mind and body.
