Hi! My name is Chris Kubick and I try to make engaging, interactive artwork in whatever medium seems most appropriate. These days, that's often for the web and incorporates sound and 3d graphics, but I've also made sound-reactive sailboats, hacked the innards of off the shelf toys, brought spirit mediums to museums to interview dead artists and created a company that reads between the lines of spoken dialogue.  Art 173: Electro-Crafting is a class that aims to give students in all media an introduction to working with code, circuits and sensors, with a focus on interactivity. We build interactive installations, games and even entire virtual worlds. I'm deeply committed to using the tools of technology to further the aims of social justice and students in my class are encouraged to think critically about the tools and systems that are created by technology but also, to have fun!
