Art Practice Spaces
Classrooms, studios, research labs, and facilities are spread across three sites: Anthropology and Art Practice Building (formerly known as Kroeber Hall) and Wurster Hall, located next to each other on the main UC Berkeley campus; and at the Richmond Field station (RFS), a short drive away.

Anthropology & Art Practice Building
Anthropology and Art Practice Building (formerly known as Kroeber Hall)
Our main facilities are located at Anthropology and Art Practice Building , on the south side of the UC Berkeley campus (map). Facilities include the main Art Office at 347 Anthropology and Art Practice Building , the Student Services Advisor Office at 347 Anthropology and Art Practice Building, the Worth Ryder Art Gallery, teaching studios, and many faculty offices. The building includes 15,000 square feet of studio space.
On the ground floor are the Sculpture Studios, complete with wood shop, metal shop, a spacious outdoor sculpture yard, and laser cutting facilities.
On the second floor are the Printmaking Studios as well as all Digital Media Labs (Photography, Video, Sound, New Media, and VR).
On the third floor are the Drawing and Painting Studios. All studios have large windows, high ceilings, ample light, and a northern exposure.
The Ceramics Studios, The Project Lab, Platform Artspace, and the Honors Studios, are located on the ground floor of Wurster Hall.
Bauer Wurster Hall
Bauer Wurster Hall is directly north of Kroeber Hall (map). The ground floor houses the Ceramics Studios, Platform Artspace, The Project Lab, the Honors Studios, and faculty offices. This historic Brutalist cement building is shared with the Center for Environmental Design (CED).
Richmond Field Station
The UC Berkeley Richmond Global Campus (formerly the Richmond Field Station) provides over 10,000 square feet of Graduate Studios in a beautiful San Francisco Bay-side location.
