Exhibitions Assistant
This is an unpaid position offered for 1-4 credits per semester. Must meet Wednesdays 12:10-12:50. Other hours can be scheduled according to student’s availability. All students, regardless of department, are eligible to apply.

DESCRIPTION:
The Exhibitions Assistant will gain hands-on experience working in an art gallery environment in the Department of Art Practice. Students will have the opportunity to learn a number of skills, including:
Installing and de-installing works of art in all media
Assisting student and professional artists
Patching and painting walls and using tools
Opening the gallery and welcoming visitors
Planning and hosting art openings and events
Marketing exhibitions, including writing
Photographing art exhibitions and receptions
Maintaining the art gallery library and equipment inventory
Cleaning and organizing
