FAMILIAR DELUSION: Senior Exhibit

The senior student art exhibition, Familiar Delusion, is quickly approaching, as fourth year art students of the class 2022/2023 prepare for graduation. After studying contemporary art from the Art Practice faculty, these students have implemented modern elements into new media, traditional media, and even hybrid forms. For example, Armim Ryu, an artist who uses traditional drawing techniques, will be featured along with digital artists Suming Wu and Jiayuan Zha. Keeyoon Jung uses app based designs to create a visual understanding of their relationship with friends and sharing meals. Working more traditionally, Julie Kerley styles their ceramic work with pop art to create lifelike pieces. Many of the students are pushing the bounds of their artistic practice and experimenting with new forms, techniques, and presentation strategies to reflect on the last few years, while furthering their professional careers.

Familiar Delusion includes 45 artists:

Sophia Alexandra, Lauren Anastasia, Sanjana Bakre, Beatriz, Blake, Francis Chiang, Yuri Choi, Shaelyn Dalziel, ZHAO DONG, V.V.
