What is the Honors Studio?

Space in which to work is very limited on campus and most students complete their projects in the classrooms after hours, over the weekends or in their dorm rooms.

There is a special studio space on campus called, “The Honors Studio”. This is a shared studio space in Wurster for nine serious Art Practice Major seniors who are doing outstanding work. They will have 24-hour access to individual studio space and weekly group critiques for one semester. At the end of every semester, all Honors Studio students exhibit their work in a group show in the Worth Ryder Art Gallery.

Nine senior level or entering senior level students are nominated by faculty and accepted through a highly competitive application process that is held the semester before.
