- IN ADDITION :
- The student must take 2 upper division art history courses. One must be on a 20th Century topic (A.H. 180-189 series), the other may be the students choice (breadth course). The student may choose from Film, Anthropology, Ethnic Stds., Architecture, CNM, etc.
- 2 of the 6 studio classes may be substituted with the following visually oriented classes:
- Dramatic Art - 173A/B (Scene Design), 174A/B (Costume Design), 177 (Lighting Design)
- Visual Studies - 180 series (includes photography)
- Film Studies - 185, 187
- Declared majors may take Art 199 for units and P/NP
- Declared majors may take H195A/B for a grade and units
ALL STUDIO CLASSES IN THE MAJOR MUST BE TAKEN FOR A LETTER GRADE.
Of the three Art History classes, only one class can be taken for P/NP.
