Utilizing skills learned through two previous solo projects, Architecture of Time students were challenged to work in collaborative groups to engineer a multi-media installation. Working in both video and material practices to create an interactive installation, they were asked to consider the relation of time, space, and story, in both local and global issues. Using video, sculpture, sound, and performance, junction is the culmination of this activity and the sorting out of intersections wherein actors, objects, and artifacts assume a defined (and hopefully meaningful) structure. The collective works in junction situate these artists as ‘structure makers’ as they interact with the viewer in co-constructing systems of meaning.
Please join us for an Opening Reception on Wednesday, April 29th from 4 to 7 pm.
