The UC Berkeley Department of Art Practice invites you to Engram – the 2016 Faculty Exhibition.

Our faculty were invited to contribute artwork that reflects their current practice, as well as a work they created when they were students. Come see what they’ve dug up!

“Engram” refers to the mechanism whereby memories are physically encoded into the brain, a concept for which the scientific understanding is still incomplete. (Artists, on the other hand, have known all about the engram for millennia.)
