BIG GIVE 2015 – make a gift to the Department of Art Practice – Thursday, November 19th, 2015

The Department of Art Practice is constantly striving to better serve our students. Some will go on to be artists, some will work in other fields, but all will be enriched by their exposure to the arts and experience creating and sharing artwork.

Our program enables our students to encounter profound art and new perspectives. They test out their own ideas in a supportive but rigorous environment, and learn from innovative teachers, all of whom are practicing artists. In order to continue providing a well-rounded, hands-on educational experience, we need to sustain and constantly improve our facilities.

As a small but ambitious department, we rely on our family of donors to help provide the considerable resources that we need to further develop our exceptional program.

Right now, among other improvements, we want to develop a new space for our students to create, experience, critique and document installations and performances. Students will benefit from this opportunity to experiment with exhibiting their work outside of our heavily-used academic classrooms and formal art gallery.

Your donation will enable a student to have the space, materials and equipment they need to realize their artistic vision, to share their project within the university community, and to go on to show their work in local gallery exhibitions and beyond.

If you have never donated before, please consider a gift of $20 (or more!) – a little goes a long way.

If you have donated before, we would like to thank you again, and ask you to renew your commitment.
